Hi, I'm new to the forum. I finally bought my dream car, a tacoma. I bought it after my '06 Honda ridgeline caught on fire while driving about a month ago. I always wanted a tacoma, but couldn't afford one (they retain their value too well) so I ended up buying the ridgeline about 4 years ago. After the fire, I went straight to the Toyota dealership.

I got the 4x4 double cab with the TRD sport package. I just ordered a leer canopy (so I can sleep in the bed during elk season) and I was curious about a lift kit. I don't think I need much, just something to be able to fit bigger, more off-road capable tires.
I do a lot of fishing and hunting and I pull a small boat.
I do have to park on a parking structure for work, so I was thinking about 3 inches. The guy at less schwab was offering me the tuff country 3 inch kit (52907) and he said I could get 285/70 R17 installed. I was looking at the Toyo AT.

I am open to suggestions. Budget is limited but I'm willing to wait to get the best I can.
    Thanks for your help.

    Welcome to tw!
Most suspension lift are pretty good. But you won't know what's good or better if you never had it. Just mild off roading, any aping lift will work just fine.

As far as brand, it's up to your wallet. They have springs and shocks ranging from 500 to a few grand.
