Caution a lot of questions being asked! Haha knowledge of fog light wiring/installation would be very helpful here!

I've searched the threads here but it looks like people have done their own mods to the harness/switches ect. I'd rather not go that route.

Alright I've got a '14 AC 4 cyl base model that did not come with fogs/ or pre wired for them. I bought a kit off ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/19103806115...iewitem=&sspagename=ADME:L:OU:US:1120&vxp=mtr this kit did not come with directions and so far I've just been working with what I could find online.

This first pic is the other end of the switch harness, red wire w/brown adaptor that's labeled ignition, black wire with what looks like a ground, and a yellow wire which can connect to the other yellow wire from the harness that I put through the cabin wall.

This is the other yellow wire that I put through the wall.

My question is where does everything go? Do all of these wires have a place and if so where? The black wire with the ground on it is really throwing me off. I'm not sure about the red ignition wire with the connector, does that stay on or do I need to remove it and stick it else where?

What gets plugged into the fuse box in the cabin?

The kit also came with a solo red wire that I don't know what to do with.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That red wire is going to be to extend the harness long enough to reach the housings.

    The rest, no clue.
I bought a similar kit and was not impressed with the harness so I pitched it.
I couldn't even get the green connector to plug into the switch... bent one of the pins.
I used the housings and bought a factory switch and harness for $75.

Do you have a relay? The relay will have a ground, a wire from your switch, a wire from your battery, a wire out to the lights. The lights will have a ground and that hot wire from the relay. When you turn on your switch, the switch wire energizes the relay and it closes and makes a contact from your battery source to the lights. Without the relay, you'll run too many amps through the switch and it may cause a fire or other damage. Best to have a mechanic do the hookup, or maybe a friend who's done this before.

Please stop posting links like this, most members are very aware of available options for their trucks.

In this case, you are not providing any assistance to members, rather, just providing a links to your products you offer at dealer prices.

I would recommend starting a thread in the buy/sell forum with the necessary information and links to the products you are offering or this type of posting will get reported.

Not to mention when I open the link, it does not go directly to the fog lights... it goes to the home page for the dealer's parts/accessories sales.

Dear Brandon I have received many thank you for the fog light link especially the instruction sheet link on the web page. I am not a dealer just a guy. Fog lights seem to create a lot of questions. Based on the number of post on the subject most people may be aware there are fog lights available but not that a factory kit with detailed (no jerry riging) instructions you can print and study. That is the reason for my post. I am a new Tacoma owner and this factory option with instructions available was not on any post I could find. Sorry you took my intentions incorrectly.

7 of your 14 posts were a cut and paste of the above.

    That's a bit spammy/shilly.

Regardless, it looks like the domain of the dealership has been added to the site's censor/filter, and that normally isn't done just because one member is spamming the site.... tends to make me believe that there have been multiple users spamming, or members have had bad experiences with them.
I don't know why, but for some reason the admin saw fit to block the link rather than just edit/remove/consolidate your posts.

It likely would have been ignored if you has spread the posts over a few weeks, and not made each one a copy-paste.
God knows I've posted links to dealerships where you can buy oil filters for $4 dozens of times... but I'm not spamming, shilling, or repping the dealership and the site admin knows it.
