Sup taco lovers. Just purchased my first Toyota truck as I have always been a ford guy. Loving the purchase so far. Been reading A LOT and looking at some bad ass builds and really getting the itch to start some mods on this beauty (not named yet). Looks like lift and tires are first on my agenda. NEED a more aggressive look asap or else my ford/chevy buddies will not stop fing with me...lol. I believe I will be going with a 3" lift (the right way as I have seen it be called on some threads) and maybe 33s. Don't want to cut anything and i think this is the biggest tire you can have with the 3" lift without doing that. I'm in Houston and would like to meet some taco like minded people to shoot the shit and what not. Thx

Welcome to the forum! I come from owning a Ranger myself, so having a Tacoma has been interesting. No hate on Ford tho, was a great little truck and parts were far cheaper lol. Mods are endless and you'll find no shortage of help here. :)

Welcome to the dark side, Loco. I was a diehard Jeeper for over 20 years before my 1st gen.

Get your tires and suspension sorted out, and there'll be very little laughing from the Ford and Chevy crowd. Especially when you get a winch. ;)

Thanks man. I always had F150s myself. Good trucks but just dont need a full size truck with these gas prices. I dont know if its the truck or this forum but i'm feeling like "moding" my truck is going to be an expensive addiction like crack. I want to do all the stuff asap...lol good thing my wallet will slow me down...some

Yeah, modding is half the fun. Driving the snot out of the modded truck is the other half!

Everything I've needed to know so far, is somewhere on this forum. Rowdy group of fellas (and ladies), but some serious know-how around here.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
    Welcome to the Taco world.

First off, the more metal you add, the worse your MPG will be. So, my recommendation would be to Snorkle it immediately. Then, when you start adding metal to the truck, it won't seem like you are taking such a huge hit in gas!
