    HPI Savage XL 5.9
    Team Associated RC8T truggy
    Kyosho Inferno Buggy

Get a real truggy. Redoing the diffs in the revo takes a couple hours. I wanted one because of the innovative design, then regretted it after.

My associated truggy was nearly bulletproof. Other than an A arm, all that broke was a plastic bulkhead brace. Once that was replaced, nothing else broke.

Losi ones were good too. Mugen would snap arms all day long...

Oh damn! Nice spread. How did you like the E10? I thought about getting one but heard they had diff problems.

    I think I have had, in order;

99' MRC Vortex Speed Buggy RTR 19 turn
    00' Kyosho USA-1 kit twin 17 turn
    01' HPI RS4 Sprint 2 kit 6 turn!
02' HPI Nitro Rush RTR .15 dropped to .12
05' Tamiya Mitsubishi Pajero Sport RTR 27 turn
05' HPI Nitro Savage SS kit .25 (now 1800kv 4s brushless)
05' Kyosho 1/24 Toyota Land Crusier
06' HPI Micro RS4 M3 kit (now drift spec)
06' Tamiya TLT-1 kit stretched to a custom crawler dual locked 17 turn
    06' Tamiya TLT-1 kit
    07' Tamiya TL-01 Porsche scaler
    07' HPI E-Firsstorm 10T RTR (now 3600kv 2s brushless)
08' Tamiya TB-01 Subaru WRX kit (home made drifter)

And that brings us to the current times. 2014 so I guess it's been 15 years? I kinda like that I still love my savage and have fun with it 9 years later :) origional purchase price was ~$450, probably about $1,200 in it total now. That's only $134 a year!

I also and all of the RadioShack xmods for the first 7 years they made them. The Associated's were the TC3 and the RC10GT but they weren't really mine. Just got to use them.

I didn't care for it, it was just cheap and had a Lamborghini body. So much play in the steering. Can't ask too much from a rtr...

Forgot to add a Tamiya coppermix silvia to my list. That tamiya was better than that hpi.

Imagine if all the rc $$$ were invested into real car parts!
    As for sunday, LMK.

I think you guys will be surprised with Hobbietat. Huge inventory on parts and kits. Planes and helis too. and tons of fishing gear. I like to think their prices are similar to online plus shipping. And yeah, great shave ice and plate lunches next door.

If I would like to buy another Lipo tomorrow (locally) where should I go for decent prices? My nephew (12yr) called me yesterday and wanted me to bring my slash to a family get together. The one Lipo I have runs great but last about 20-25 minutes..

If Traxxas is a "good starter" I shouldn't have gotten started!!! lol..

That's why I was hoping that Sandy Flemings would be a decent place to shop. A lot closer to me, and I almost never go into town anymore unless I really have a reason. I'll try and check out hobby company especially if they are in Waimalu..
