Basically, the inability of my 2012 access cab to haul a load of wood without riding on the stops has lead me to want to change my suspension. My thoughts were to install airlift bags on the rear and 5100's on the front set at 2.5 (I might as well get a little lift if I'm changing things anyway).

    Questions:
-Do I need a spacer under the bags to achieve level look with 5100's at 2.5
-Do I need to upgrade the rear shocks to billys as well?

Any input is appreciated, especially helpful

Anyone with experience in this area I know there is a lot out there on bags but not airlift or using bag to gain height. Help please.

airbags should not be used to gain lift. they are used as a support system in only heavy load situations where the stock components cannot adequately handle the bed load.

if you tried to use them for lift you'd get like 1/8" of lift and a shit ride.

use an AAL for rear lift. it'll improve load capacity and provide lift. you can still add airbags as support for heavy stuff. and always replace shocks when lifting. most often times you'll end up blowing anything stock length on a lift.
