Install UCAs or don't install UCAs???

    So my lift kit is in and Im installing it in two weeks. The kit is the Toytec ultimate. I wanted a solid system that gave me a 3" lift and no regrets later.

    Now I am wondering if I should just go ahead and do the UCAs as well?

    My off roading is typically mild. But given the right equipment I would be willing to consider ground less traveled. The truck is still my daily driver so I don't want to get to radical with things, also I am hitting the top of my budget. That all said I don't want to regret not installing the UCAs when I had everything apart.

    So UCAs or no UCAs, that is the question.

    Absolutely change your UCAs. Anything over 2.5" of lift, it is generally deemed necessary. You'll be able to get a better alignment.

    For me, I went with Light Racings, as I only do light wheeling. The adjustable ball joint allowed me to move my wheel center forward more than an inch; and still achieve factory spec on my alignment. This allowed me to run 33s and not have to chop my cab mount (wheels: 17x8, 4.5bs).

    Getting there...
    Uniballs allow for more down travel if you get extended travel shocks. If you're going with the Toytec ULK, I wouldn't bother with uniballs.

    Ive talked to a couple vendors that said LR works fine with extended travel and lets you get the full travel from them.

    Also got mine from Headstrong. Very good customer service. Answered phone calls and questions. They also sent me the update kit before I even knew about it.

    Got a perfect alignment......tracks true.
