I hear ya! Usually, if you complain nicely, the flight attendants (usually on your side) will let you switch seats with the pilots approval. All you have to do is ask. I hope this helps you in the future.

It may make you feel better to know that the airline "higher-ups" are still reaping bonuses in the millions.....while crying that they can't make any money due to fuel costs.

I'd say the big-shots need to drop their bullshit pay-scale to a realistic one (based on performance) and I bet the airlines will miraculously start showing profits.

It's NOT the price of fuel....it's the managements' compensation packages.

Pure and simple.
