Ive spent the last hour getting a migraine reading all about the 1,026,915 options for lifts, TSB leaf, blah blah.

2013 SR5 4x4 4 leaf pack. Until my truck is paid off (yearsssss) there will be no read "wheeling" done but I do want larger rubber under her because well...those 245s are just embarrassing for a truck. We have horses so Ive been hauling a couple loads of 1000lb in the bed and I just went out and measured heights. front from ground to wheel well is 34", rear is 35".

So the question...finally. Will Billie 5100s all around on stock springs net me 2.5" of lift without doing anything else? Do I need the taco lean spacer? At the moment thats the max I want to spend without gettin the 885xs or eibachs.

5100's will give you 2.5" lift in the front. The rear shocks dont add lift...you would need an AAL (add a leaf) or a block to lift the rear.

You could put the 5100s in the front and set them at .85 to level the truck and put on some 265/75/16 tires.

bilstiens 5100s can be used to simply and affordably lift the front by up to 2.5" by use of their adjustable spring perch.

However, they provide no lift in the rear. For that you need a lift block or add-a-leaf. Most drivers prefer the add-a-leaf for superior performance. Most shops prefer the lift block because it's easier to install.

Thanks! So should I still get the 5100s for the rear so I have them all around or will that not matter with an AAL?

OP, if you're hauling that much weight in the bed, you will want either Wheeler's HD progressive leaf pack or Dakars with d29xl.

Agree. Didn't notice the 1000lb bed load on first read.

OP, also, I would wait until you can afford everything; do it once, do it right. Here is what I would recommend:

    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/headstrong-kits-tacoma-05-6-lug.html

    Coil/Bilstein 5100 lift Kit (part # HS05BK-1)
    - no diff drop (waste of time and money on 2nd gens)
    - LR UCA's although you can add them later; will help get alignment right
    - And Dakar leaf packs. They MIGHT be able to get you the Wheeler progressive leaf packs.

Great customer service and often cheapest prices too!

I'm sure someone can chime in, but I wouldn't recommend running stock springs on aftermarket struts. Just my .02.

Get these for the rear lift since you're hauling all that weight
you will kill your stock pack pretty quick.

Thanks guys. I rarely have that much in the bed (only when the bro in law and his tundy aren't available) so hopefully just an AAL will suffice. Also I thought if I did just a 2.5-3in lift I wouldn't need any UCAs?

I would get the HD Wheeler's progressive leaf pack just to be safe. As mentioned before, the AAL is only a band-aid and I, now, consider it in the same category as a block spacer. I regretted not getting a new leaf pack right away after the AAL started sagging only after ~3k miles. New UCA's are recommended over 2.5". If you want 2.5-3", get the new UCA's.

You wont need new UCA's unless you go over 2.5".

The wheelers 3 leaf AAL pack is only 159 bucks compared to a single AAL at 80 bucks. Ive had both and the 3 pack is well worth the extra few bucks

I concur. I put a wheelers 3 leaf progressive aal on a brand new set of TSB springs and they only lasted 2 years before going frowny on me and I do not haul or tow anything. I offroaded a ton back then and they are great for that. It's either you get flexy leafs that feel great offroad or stiffer springs that haul great but bounce a ton offroad.

I now have dakars and a shackle flip kit I need to install and I'm hoping that gets me the best of both worlds.

never had the single myself, but ridden in trucks that did and I agree. my 3 leaf was MUCH smoother.

I have been looking at the shackle flip kit for a while in hopes for the same results you mentioned. Interested to hear a review when you get it on and test!! :D
