Looking for a good lift kit for 2013 4x4

Hey guys, I'm pretty new here and don't know much about lift kits or suspensions. I have a 2013 quad cab 4x4 and I'd like to lift it but I don't know what to look for our what I need. Unfortunately I'm on a budget. I saw a 3" kit on Toytec for $310 but I don't know if it's a good one. I'm mostly looking for cosmetics at this point with a little bit of off roading here and there, but pretty mild. Would I need anything else? Shocks or anything? Any help would be great!

I've heard that some kits change the geometry if the suspension which causes problems with the quality of the ride, especially at high way speeds. How can I tell if a kit is likely to do this?
