I just purchased a new 2014 tacoma and I'm on the fence about lifting it or leveling it. I need to know the exact difference between the two and some pros and cons of each. I'm just building the truck for something I can cruise around on the hills in but also take some beatings if I decide to drive a little more aggressive on and off pavement.

Lift involves raising both front and rear, while "leveling" means raising just the front and leaving the rear alone.

Anything other than the mildest "level" (e.g. 1" to 1.5") leaves the Tacoma looking like it's got a load of bricks in the back or is driving uphill.
