    Hey fellas,

I'm new to the site but have been browsing a while. I noticed one of the big questions is "How much can my Tacoma haul?". So I figured I would tell you what I towed and how far, with a pic as proof.

I own a 2009 Tacoma double cab TRD. I recently hauled a 1966 F-100 from Southern VA to Birmingham AL using a uHaul car hauler. To my surprise everything went very well. The trailer gave me no problems, the truck was secured to the trailer very well and the trailer brakes really helped. Once on the interstate I was able to shift into high gear.

Here's the pic, good luck and I hope this helps.

FYI, MPG go to crap lol

    EDIT: 600 mile trip

He is asking if you have the tow package (it's a factory option). This adds additional coolers, a larger battery, more powerful alternator, and additional equipment to improve your trucks towing performance and capability (3500lbs normally - 6500lbs with tow package).

Your truck can be equipped or not equipped with this package and still be "factory."

That makes it that much cooler. Do you plan on keeping it stock?

Had a friend with a 66 4wd in high school. It could go anywhere and for the amount of abuse we gave it (being dumb high school kids) it was rarely broken.

I want to keep it as close to stock as I can, wouldnt mind having disc brakes or an retro FM radio for it. Currently it only has the AM radio.
