UPDATE! I still wish I bought a 4x4. HOWEVER the only reason I feel that way is for the 4x4 mudflaps... 3 months and 10,000 miles into owning it I have surpassed everything I could imagine with a 2wd 4 cyl truck... No regrets... but in about 5 years I may just have to get an additional truck... Toyota has made a believer out of me

I have a 2010 4 cyl manual. Perfect for my needs, hauling crap & towing a small boat. 95,000 miles and never once has it been in the dirt, my only wish was that it had a lower 1st gear for pulling a boat up a ramp.

Also get 24 mpg. A 4X4, 6cyl, etc would have been cool but in the end a waste of $$ for me. If I needed all that I'd be in something other than a taco though.
