New owner of a 2014 access cab, I4, manual transmission, my third Tacoma. When new, it shifted really well, everything seemed tight. By 5,000 miles, the shifting feels loose and sloppy with 'clunks' between gears if I fail to really baby the clutch. The dealer says everthing is fine, but it isn't. Any ideas on what to ask the dealer to look for/at?

I have around 5,000 miles on mine as well but I feel like mine has always been clunky in certain gears unless I baby the clutch. I'm not sure if that is just how tacomas are or what.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I'd change the tranny and rear diff oil over to synthetic and grease the driveshaft U-joints... asap.
