I've been looking around at leds lately and found some leds on carid.com. The brand is lumen. It must be the carid.com brand because I can't find anything on them except that site. They have the standards, which are around $9 each, then the plasma leds which are around $20 to $30. Does anybody know anything about these at all? I am wanting to convert every exterior light I can to led, but also leds of good quality, not like the eBay or Amazon junk. I do like that leds look better than halogen, but also would prefer for them to actually have superior function (not just be brighter at the lens, but actually give better vision in reverse, actually make my fog lights useful, throw the headlight beam further, etc).If you know anything about these or have suggestions, please let me know.

    Stay away.

I bought their turn signal lights.
1 - They didn't fit. They pressed against the lens, I was afraid they would pop the yellow lens out if I locked them in.
2 - They are not the "CK" type light. Plug them in, turn them on, and they blow the turn signal fuse.

So much for them being "For the Toyota Tacoma"... they are not.
I will never buy another product from CarID.

Look up TW member "CSJUMPER"... he's in San Diego and sells complete LED kits, including switchback DRL kits.

Okay, good to know. I have looked at his thread and pm'd him. What is a switchback drl kit? Also, what headlights do you have bhlm or after market?

    BHML with TRS projector retrofit.

The switchback mod uses a combination of parts... the factory DRL harness is modified to work with a relay that he provides.
You then run a wire to the front turn signals and connect it to the 3rd (blank) spot on the turn signal socket.
Connect load resistors to the other two wires, and install the switchback LEDs.

The DRL circuit turns the DRL side on... it can be either white or amber, your choice when you order. When the turn signal is on, the DRL goes out and the light flashes amber.
