Duratrac tires

I have a vibration problem with Duratrac Goodyear tires. Put 5500 miles on them and went to Discount tire to have them rotated and balanced. They tried 2 times but they still vibrate but at different speeds each time. So the end result is they are giving BF Goodrich all terrain T/A free of charge.Discount tire is one great store......Chuck

 

Why didn't they just replace your tires with new duratracs? Something sounds odd and is missing from your story.

 

They offered a new set of Duratracs decided to go with a less aggresive tire.

 

I went through the same thing with the Duratracs. Purchased from Discount Direct online. They sent new Duratracs and vibes went away. Hope they dont come back. They also replaced 2 bent wheels I purchased from them. They have 100% the best customer service in my opinion.

 

I had same trouble on two of the four I bought mounted on new wheels from tire rack. Had the two road force balanced at a ford garage. They came out fine, but I was shocked at the amount of weight they needed. The tech said it was 8oz out. ( no surprise I was getting a 55mph shimmy.) They are smooth now,but it has given me pause about buying another Goodyear tire....
