This is in my boat and not my truck. But I figure I'd withdraw from the bank of knowledge anyway. I've apparently lost a channel on my stereo. Rear speakers weren't working, front ones were. So I switched the RCA cables and now the front ones aren't working but the rear ones are. This is why I think I've lost a channel. Am I totally off base here and if not how do I know if it's the head unit or the amp?

Sounds like your test validated the amp and speakers are good. When you chaged the RCA wires, did you do it at the amp or deck? If done at the amp, it could be a bad RCA wire (sure hope this is the issue). If the result is the same when changed at the deck, you likely need to replace it.

Good luck. Let us know the result.
