car seat in tacoma?

Can you put a car seat in the back of extra cab tacoma????? thinking of buying one and was wandering. my son is 2 1/2. the back seats look small but could be pics ive seen. looking at a 2000.

 

My buddy rocks an 08 extra cab with his little man. It has the latch system and everything.

 

On the 09, the latch system is on the drivers side. I had my seat there, but I gave the little dude some more room by mounting the seat on the other side. I use the seatbelt and have a device that you feed the seatbelt though and crank it down. Tightens the crap out of it. That seat is going nowhere. I still use the top tether though.

I feel he has plenty of room. If my wife decides to really lay back, it can get a bit tight. As he gets older, he will be in a backless booster so the carseat won't stick out so much and he will have more leg room as he grows.

 

If you need pics for an 05 or newer but in a double cab... then I've got some in my gallery. Just in case you decide to upgrade. Have a good one. BTW, I've got a 5 and 3 yr old. I kinda knew I would eventually need the space.
