Stupid question I'm sure but I was under the truck trying to isolate a noise and noticed that my front drive shaft spins while in park, all four tires on the ground. My Jeep doesn't do this. Is this normal. it's in 2wd and it's an 09 sport.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Wait. Do you mean it is spinning (as if power is applied) when in park, or that when in park you can crawl under and spin it freely with your hands? The former = no bueno. The latter, VERY normal as the other dude said.

I won't have a car payment, and a repair bill at the same time.
So, if the warranty doesn't run out as far as the payments, that's how I make that decision.

The front driveshaft is totally disconnected when in 2wd to save on resistance. If you engage 4wd and then park it it won't spin.
