Im new to Tacoma world and haven't had any experience with lifts. I just bought a 2000 2.7l ext cab 4x4 that was previously a pavement princess. It currently has a 3" body lift, 3" coil spacers and 3" blocks under the leafs. The ride is very rough and bouncy offroad, its also higher than i like. I want to drop the bodylift and swap out the spacers and blocks for something with a better ride. Id like to keep 3" of lift. What ive gathered is that bilstein 5100s with eibach coils are my best bet for the front, are there any other options? And whats best for the rear?

    Welcome to TW!

Front: Bilstein's and Eibachs. There are others like OME, which is the same concept, but a different brand; they're good, too. I went with the Bilstein/Eibach combo and love them. There are also more expensive lifts, but the Bilstein/Eibach is the best bang for you buck. 90% of 3" lifts on here are Bilstein/Eibach's

For the rear, simply adding an extra leaf will level it out with the front. That's what I did and love it. You can also replace the entire leaf pack, but it's not necessary. The Cheaper/crappier route are using blocks, which doesn't compare to the AAL

The problem with the bilstein 5100 and eibach/toytec coil combo is the fact that he drives a 4 banger.

This setup will actually give you more than 3" in the front which could cause damage, also the ride will be stiff. Take into consideration that your engine weighs less than the V6.
For the rear, a new leaf pack is your best bet.

This will be expensive, around $1000 for good parts

I drive a 4 banger, too. I also put on a TG front bumper, so that added about 100 lbs, though. Even before I put the TG bumper on, I only had like 2.88" of total lift, although the ride was really stiff for a few months.
