Guys, i have a new to me 2005 taco v6 auto tranny dbl cab long box and there are a couple things i am trying to see if they are normal or not... im still kinda getting used to how they drive so im not sure what's normal and what's not...

One, while driving and coasting (not on the gas), if i hit the gas normally, not real light but not real hard, the truck will jerk forward after a very slight delay after hitting the gas. In my old truck and most other vehicles, the power would be smoothly applied, but this truck feels like something is finally "catching" to apply the power. it's not real terrible, but definitely noticeable when driving. If i hit the pedal real lightly, there is no jerk.

Two, going over certain bumps i will hear what sounds like something loose in the front end. just sort of a bumpy sound (if that is a thing). There is a 1.5" leveling kit in the front and bigger leafs in the rear. alignment is good, and there is no slop in the steering or anything. In some older vehicles ive driven, ive heard similar sounds and there was nothing wrong with the front end, so maybe this is a normal sound?

Just wondering if these things are common for other owners or if i need to sink some time and labor into these things. Thanks all!

How many miles in the Truck? if high mileage you might could need a transmission flush if the previous owner didn't bother to do it. Just fallow the DIY posted around here by mountain lion and you can't go wrong. Cost of the fluid will run you about 100+ for 10-11 quarts if you use Toyota WS, or go with Valvoline mex/dec it's pretty much the same and save you $50 bucks. I did mine a month ago and used Valvoline and so far so good, I had no issues before I did the procedure and still running okay at 142k miles.
