I'm looking to put a yakima rack on top of my Leer 100R topper. I have a ski box that I know it'll hold no problem, but in the summer I'd like to throw a basket up there (Thule 690 XT M.O.A.B) that we have from a car that was just totaled. I want to know how much I can throw up in the basket. The basket weighs in at 35 lbs. I've overloaded a rack before and it was scary at any speed over 35. Does anyone know what kind of weight limit the Leer 100R/Yakima rack combination would have?

Rack shear rating is 180lbs on my yakima mounted to the top of my ARE. This is what ARE has told me. My static weight is 800. Meaning I can have a roof top tent and drive around. But when parked its weight combined with me and my wife leaves me plenty of weight for us and more :)

Thanks! That's exactly the information I was after, including the static weight that I forgot to ask about.
