Hi everyone. MT here, new to the site.
I have a question that I was hoping someone could help with. I have a 1996 Tacoma 2WD 4 Cyl. I was sitting at a light and all of a sudden out of know where it started missing bad. When I accelerate it's horrible and once up to speed it smooth's right out. I replaced the gas filter, No luck. I changed the spark plugs and rotor cap and button and it ran much better but not as smooth as it normally runs. after about two weeks the same thing happened again. I haven't changed the wires yet but I'm going to pick some up and do that tonight. What's confusing me is how good it runs while up to speed but as soon as I accelerate it misses horribly. Anyone else have this problem or know what might be causing it? Thanks

Welcome to TW! Sounds like it could be a few things. Fuel injectors, wires, etc.

    Chris,
Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the late reply. had computer issues. I picked up wires and that seemed to be the problem. It's running great now. The ones I had on it were only about a year old so I really didn't think that was it. Thanks again.
