So I was wondering what is your guys opinion on a good sounding muffler/exhaust for a 97 2.7L 4 cylinder Tacoma. Now I don't want my truck to sound like one of those fart machine Honda's ;) But I'm looking for one that puts out a like grumble or throaty noise. I heard magnaflow sound good on them but I also heard thrush turbos do as well. Any advice would be awesome!

I had a 97 4runner with the 2.7l. I put a flowmaster on it and it sounded good! get on youtube with a good set of ear buds and type in 2.7l Tacoma exhaust. Lets you hear the general sound of them.

lotsa sound clips on the YouTube like mentioned above. I have an imco, which is a knock off flowmaster, on my 97 2.7 and it sounds pretty good.

upgrading the piping will add some balls to what ever muffler you choose. I have a 14" straight flow magnaflow with 2.5" piping after the header with a matching 2.5" magnaflow cat.
