I'm looking at new wheels for my 2012 2.7 Base cab. Tacoma in the same 15 inch size and perhaps 16. Without having to lift, or do any major modifications to the truck what wheels would be recommended for primarly street driving. I want something lighter than stock and strong.

Here's what I found on the stock rims for my car
    Material: Steel
    Tires: 215/70 R15
    Wheel Size: 15x6 inch

I found that there are aftermarket wheels that are 15x6.5 inch and also wheels that are 15x7 inch. Which one would be optimal.

What is the recommended range of backspacing?
What is the recommended range of offset?

What would be recommended for better handling, and more comfortable ride?
