Tacoma Aftermarket Black/Smoke LED Tail Lights

I just wanted to post some pics of the new tails I put on this evening. I personally think they look great and was a better idea than spraying my tails with nightshades or putting the film over them making it harder for people behind me to see me stop. I like the look of smoked lights but am not trying to be pulled over for it so this was my only other option. I needed to tone down the chrome a notch, anyway just thought I would share, enjoy!

Are they as bright as stock?

 

How did the install go? What is your impression of the quality and fit?

 

I would say they are equal if not slightly brighter than stock. I think the dark area might make the red LEDs pop a little more so it might be an illusion.

Install is easy, total of maybe 5 mins. With your tail lights there are only 2 bolts to undo and simply unplug, replug and bolt back.
*1-10 (10 being best)

Quality- 9 (Seem just as durable as the OEM lights, only reason I don't give a 10 is wherever they are assembled seems like the dust in the air is sealed in with the lights, you can see some dust in the lights but only upon up close inspection. After they are on the truck you really would never notice.)

Fit-10 (fit is perfect)

I have a set as well. They are very, very bright. Have been through a few washes with no leaks. However I didn't get the free dust inside my set.

Bought from the same seller. My set came with new reverse and signal bulbs as well.

Does anyone know if there is a difference with the 14's? I know the trucks are essentially the same but like my trd exhaust, a product that fit the 12 wouldn't fit the 14, thanks.

 

Mine came with all the bulbs. I just hooked em and bolted them in.

I personally thought they were the same. I thought 2005-2014 would all fit the same but I need someone to confirm that or just go to the manufacturer website and find out.

 

05-14 and what looks like 15 too are all compatible. Unless they change the wiring in 15.

sweet, how long has it been since they were put on? i have the base red ones and they are getting on my nerves, i like the look of the LED's, im trying to decide between these black ones or some chrome ones... i just mounted a chrome kobalt tool box, i think the black looks awesome though...
