Was I correct in reading here somewhere that Toyota has made some sort of change to their TACO frames for model years 2013 and newer in response to the rust issue?

:)I had a recall on my 02. No rust but they did a special frame coating for free. The rust problem was speced for basically Viriginia-Ohio and northward. If you are in NC, there was no applicable tsb unless you moved to a norther st. where heavy salt is used.
Never understood this anyway; though they dipped the frames to seal the metal???? I assumed Mr. T had to take this on the chin due to the NUMMI plant in CA being union, which was shut down in early 2010. Transitioned work to Texas and Mexico. Are there rust problems from those plants with late 2011's and later? We'll have to wait to find out but my experince in VA is I won't see it - had my 02 for 10 years w/o problem.
I wouldn't worry about it-just pick out a ride and enjoy. There are always going to be some tsb bs we all have to deal with:)
