I'm new to the Tacoma World, but not new to Toyota. I had a Ford F150, crew Cab, but it was too big for me, so I sold it for a 2013 Toyota Venza XLE. It was a nice car, but I wish I had my truck back. I happened to drive a Tacoma and I was immediately SOLD, so last Friday I found a nice used PreRunner SR5 double 4 dr Crew Cab with only 18,000 at the local Ford dealer! They traded me and I only had a small difference to pay. I feel I got an excellent deal, because the Tacoma will hold it's value better than the Venza. The factory warrantee goes until April 2016!
1.I would like to add an Entune radio, but the Parts people at the local Toyota store said it can't be done...it has to come from the factory installed.
    2. My wife has had2 knee replacements and it is hard for her to make the 1st step on the running boards. They are 16" of the ground and I was trying to find mounting brackets that would bring the running boards down to 12" or 11" from the ground. No one seems have an thing like that so I was going to have a machine shop cut and weld a piece of metal in each bracket. At that length, will that cause any clearance problems.
Thanks for any input and I'm happy to have joined your forum.

Decided to keep the installed running boards and bought a small step for her...works GREAT.
This is one of the smoothest running vehicles I have ever owned, except for my wife's Lexus..very comparable!
Will an upgraded Entune radio system work in my truck or does it have to be factory installed?
