One less thing to worry about. Thats how I look at it. I know its in the doors, but in our trucks, they turn into a place where lots of feet hit. Thats why I put it in quotes...

You are right. I had marks on the doors from beating them up.

But they just look so good! :D

Coming in late on this but found it during a search on Focal's. That is some amazing work, love the angles. Being tall, find my leg blocks a lot of the mids. I probably will go with the Focals + JL Stealth / Amps. No decision on HU yet, but Kenwood is leading the pack so far.

That's an awesome job for an off-the-cuff project. Well done!

Now that you have a "form" you could use heavy sheet plastic and vacuum form them to mass produce. Just a thought.... ;)

1st of all, great work on these they look pro.
2nd, I would put my foot through these when getting out of the car. I would need to put some metal grating over those or something.
    Great Job!

Thanks guys! I appreciate the feed back.

Slew, Focals are every bit as good as they are claimed to be. I seriously considered not even replacing them. They sounded that good. They sound fantastic at any volume. Even at the brink of distortion. Tweets are crystal with out being harsh or too bright. Unfortunately one of the mids fell and is not functioning or they would be for sale.

Eric, that is a great idea.

    Shauncho, thank you very much.

StZu, Thank you for the compliment. I am far from a pro. I do all my work in the driveway! I also did a custom set up for the wife's Jetta with a custom sub box for the wall of the trunk. It came out far better than expected. I do have some scuff marks on the vinyl from rubbing them. they never hit the speaker as they are recessed. I always warn passengers when they get in.

Slew, as far a head unit. If you are going single din, the Pioneer 80 PRS is what to get. Super easy to set up and navigate through. The adjustability and sound quality is absolutely the best in the price range. Give it a look.

Man, that is awesome. I wish I had those kind of fabrication skills. Great looking door panels.

I just put 2 10tw3s in a regular cab. I bet it still doesn't hit as hard as your 1 13. HAHA!

tacoglock, Thank you for the compliment. Just happens that when I try things out, I just pick them up. All the work, except the regular baffles was new to me. It came out far better than I initially expected.

Yeah the 13TW5 does great work for being a shallow sub. I would like to hear a dual set up, 10TW or 13TW, just for future upgrades sake. I have a Focal 33kx I want to jam behind the seats, but I really don't think it will go.

    Bender, much appreciated!

I kept waiting and waiting for you to break out the fiberglass but the spray insulation and bondo is slick! Nice work!

Thank you. It gave me the capability to make any shape I wanted instead of working with a volcano shape and having to build up off of that. Plus it made the fitting of the exterior "pod" and the interior baffle easier by allowing the removal of excess material and shaping to be done at will.

I can tell you first hand that 2 of the 10tw3s are pretty damn loud. I am only pushing 300w RMS into each one but they bounce the windshield wipers off the front glass. :D

I was really impressed by the single 10tw3 I heard. From dubstep, to country, to slap bass, it all sounded great. The dubstep really got into your gut. It's no joke.

It's surprisingly good. They hit notes that I've never heard any other ten hit and they sound great doing it.
