I recently got the Apple iPhone 5S and I have have been having a problem pairing it with my 2012 Bluetooth which just has the regular radio (not the touch screen entune). The truck worked great with my older iPhones. I went to Apple and Verizon and they both said A.) They can't touch my truck due to liability issues and B.) It is a Toyota software issue. Toyota is saying it is not a software issue on their end but on Apples end. So here I am with a 2 1/2 year old 35,xxx dollar truck and a 600 dollar phone that I can't use together cause one is obsolete. It pisses me off that I spent all this money and no one has a answer other than to blame the other guy! I was wondering if anyone had similar issues or does anyone have a possible fix??? Thanks

What kind of pairing issues are you having? What is it doing and at what point are you getting to before you start to have issues?

The truck is able to recognize the phone and it gives me the passcode. It accepts the passcode and the phone shows it as connected but it simply won't work after that. I got it to actually work once but I had to reset the phone multiple times but after I shut the truck off it no longer worked. I also tested the Bluetooth on other devices and it works just fine.

It almost sounds like you are having the same issue I used to have. Which is the bluetooth antenna being loose. I used to have to do the same crap to mine and it just refused to hook up and stay hooke up.

Does the screen read that there is no bluetooth device connected?

OP , I also have a 2012 with the standard radio and just got a 5s phone recently, went out and read some of the steps in the manual on bluetooth set up and got it paired up after a couple of tries and works fine now. Just an fyi.

If your still having trouble go ask one of the salesmen at the dealership to help, when I bought mine I had a 4s and the salesman did that one for me.

Go to settings on the phone, then bluetooth, then click forget this device... which would be
your truck. Reboot the phone and pair it again. Sometimes it takes a few tries. Mine did
but now it always connects. It will work.
