Do the bigger high end lifts ruin towing?

So I have a stock 2011 and I would like to start modifying it. I'd like to do the a medium travel lift for off-roading get bumpers, armor and winch. What I would like to know is do these lifts (icon for instance) ruin the towing capabilities of these trucks? I would like to be able to tow a 20ish foot boat (deep V type w/ inboard-outboard drive) right now my truck can handle this load no problem but the softer suspension I'm guessing will make this thing squat bad. I want to build kind of an "everything truck" so off-roading,towing,camping,dirt biking rig. it's between doing this and getting an obs powerstroke but I'd rather keep the taco sinse I bought it new and own it.

    Thanks gents

The squat comes from the springs, not the shocks. Dakar rear leaf springs help carry a load. All pro expo are made to carry a load as well.

Just get the proper drop hitch and you will be fine. Level trailers tow much better than angled ones. Measure coupler height with trailer level and add 2" to account for effect of tongue weight on truck. You might even add weight in rear of bed to simulate tongue weight. If you also carry heavy gear on bed allow for it. Trailers tow better a little high in front versus low. Now larger tires without regearing will hurt towing some depending on size.

I'm fimiliar with towing set ups but I've towed with a lifted truck and when braking hard the front dipped bad. Making emergency braking a white knuckle situation. The boat will weight about 6k with trailer ( chaparral 220 for a reference) I was thinking of bags in the rear but I also don't want to restrict travel. So just to be clear a mid travel lift coupled with dakars in the rear can handle a that sort of load?

6000 lbs might make for white knuckle braking behind a Tacoma lifted or not. Sorry I guess I misunderstood

It just takes a little planning a head. I just don't want to lift my pickup and have issues with weight transfer. Thanks for the info I think I have my answer
