    Hi,

Bought a Used-Certified 2013 Tacoma about 4 weeks ago from a Toyota Dealer in San Diego. I opted to have them wire up an aftermarket KARR alarm (prob a mistake), but anyway…

Everything was fine until today when I was driving on the freeway and the alarm started to go off. Honking noise, stereo screen blinking off and on etc etc. Incredibly annoying. It stopped for a cpl mins then started up again.

I brought it to a dealer by my house (Bay Area), and they said there is nothing they could do. It is an aftermarket alarm. They had no idea what could cause it.

So I guess my question is, any ideas what could have triggered it? As I said I didn't have this problem for the first 3-4 weeks.

If it happens again I am tempted to have it disabled completely. Total waste of money but whatever.

    Thanks

I would try to contact the manufacturer via email and see if they can help you trace the problem.
