Well, I've had my new 2014 DCSB for about a month now. I'm well into tweaking and modding (minor by forum standards) and have been considering what to do with the stock sound system. Before I bought the truck I assumed I would swap out the factory HU for a decent aftermarket unit, but I've found that I'm pretty fond of the features the stock unit has and I really like the various integration. So, I'm now considering adding a signal processor of some type (Audison, JL Cleansweep, Zapco, and I think Alpine might make something?) and an amp. I've seen various threads on here where people have used some of these brands (along with LOC's) but I'm really curious to hear how satisfied people are with their systems, especially on the later Entunes. The sound on the stock system is decent....but lacking, and I'd really love to get sound that approaches aftermarket quality. It sounds like the installs wouldn't be too terribly hard, and the closer to plug and play the better.

Lovin the truck! Just need a few more tweaks.:D

I have a 2013 with NAV/JBL and have replaced everything else with a rockford fosgate 360.3, JL Audio HD900/5, Arc Audio 125.2bx2, with HAT Legatia L6, L1 Pro R2, and Unity (rear door), with a Morel Ultimo SC 10. It is pretty solid, but I am replacing the head unit this weekend as that is the weak link in the chain. I had no intention of replacing the head unit, but I just am not getting everything I want/"need" out of it. If you have any questions about doing it I have a very thorough knowledge of the system as 2013 and 2014 should be the same systems.

I always recommend replacing the factory head unit, but with the new Entune ones, I can appreciate the appeal for wanting to keep it. The best processors out there for factory integration are the Audison Bit processors.

Sources: having worked with several audio processors by other brands (audio control, JBL, rockford, Audison) in several vehicles and being a proud owner of an Audison Bit One.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'm still debating what to do. I'll look into the Audison a bit more - I have read some very good things about them. Still might swap out the HU, although I hate the thought of disrupting a system that has been working quite well, albeit with mediocre sound. I wish car manufacturers would get these systems dialed in better from the factory.
