So recently I decided to get a new stereo in my truck which is a 4x4 2014 Double Cab Short Bed TRD Off Road Entune but no JBL stereo. The shop that did my install since I know nothing about wiring things told me that the camera that is in these trucks is not compatable with any radios. Long story short I ended up with the Kenwood DNX891HD and I was wondering if there is some sort of adapter to get the stock back up camera to work with this radio I have searched around and cannot find anything so any help would be appreciated. Thanks Guys

Never looked into this but couldn't you find the wires that the camera uses, then adapt them to RCA cables to plug into the stock HU? Just a thought.

this is really easy. The camera extension is located behind the coin pocket (think mini glove box) on the left side of the steering wheel. Pull that sucker off and in the top left corner you will see 2 white plugs. The bottom plug is the one you want. The 2 wires closest to you are the positive and negative for the video signal. Take an rca cable (any cheap one will do there is no difference between stereo and video cables) cut off one end. Connect the shielding to the negative wire and the core to the positive wire. You will need to remove these from the plug as the plug needs to remain installed in order to provide power to the camera. After you connect the video leads run the rca to the backup camera in the 891. That simple.

I will have pictures up some time this weekend as I am doing this starting on friday with a DNN991HD from a factory JBL Nav. So lots of interesting information for people as i will be using the factory XM antenna, backup camera, and trying to get the factory gps antenna as well. We shall see how the gps goes before any promises on that.
