Hey guys, I had planned to mount/ground my CB antenna to my Baja Rack, but now I'm thinking that the mounting points on the roof were threaded plastic inserts.

It would take me a couple hours to pull the rack off, and I'm out of town for about a week anyway. Does anyone know for sure if the rack mount holes are metal or plastic? (eg, would they make a good grounding point for an antenna?)

    Thanks!

When I installed my OEM rack, the threaded holes in the roof were metal. However, they were also painted and the screws had sealant on the threads.

Took my multimeter to it this afternoon, and it's a solid ground to the chassis. Yay!
