Hi all. This is my first post on this site. I've been using it for a while to answer some questions, but I've run into a snag. And before I spend all the money to do this, I would like to pick some of your brains.

The question I have is whether or not the combination below will work together on my truck (08 Taco Base TRD OR) and if not, is there small modifications I can make to force it to work.

    Wheels: https://www.trdparts.com/partlocato...nfo&PartID=766342&siteid=215775&catalogid=200

    Tires: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...QR6ATAKO&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes

    Lift: http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/3-Lift-wfront-spacers_p_314.html

What do you guys think? Am I going to have issues?

    just my comments:
First off is this a 4x4?
IF IT IS - 3in lift of any kind will cause problems with your CV boots. 2.5 in is the max for 4x4 without new UCA or more work on the front end.
Second: lift blocks not recommended - will make the truck ride real rough and handle crazy
third: wheel and tire combo will work but you may have to do some trimming with the 285 tires.

You will get lots of feedback on here. best thing to do is go to the suspension and lift section and read through the post there.

First things first, what are you using/building the truck for?

    Onroad?

    Offroad mildly on occasion?

    Hit some trails fast?

    Towing?

Do not do diff drop! Pointless. My cv just shit the bed at 111,000 miles. 3" lift and I wheel it.

I would not do the blocks, just get aal.

I plan on getting the AAL option not the blocks. I plan on occasionally off-roading. I'm also considering the 275 as well.

I figure with the diff drop it won't really be a hassle to remove the drop when I plan on taking it off asphalt. I read so many different opinions on it. Does it really not help with the CV angle issue that much? I mean replacing the boots wouldn't be that hard, just an inconvenience if it could be mitigated.

I ran most of my 111,000 miles without it and just had a problem with the boots. I would say its a waste of time. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the help guys. This is how everything turned out. Put 3" Toytec on it and 265/75 GY Duratracs on the FJ wheels.
