    '03 Tacoma TRD 4x4 Dbl Cab SR5
American Racing 16x8 "simulated beadlock" wheels & B.F. Goodrich All Terrains. Otherwise, all stock but looking to modify according go budget!!
I Purchased a 2003 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4 Dbl Cab about a year ago with 180,000mi. on it.
I am experiencing some vibration in my transfer case shifter. When I look under my truck I notice that there is holes in the frame rails on each side, what looks like a mount hanging from the bottom of the transfer case and a small steel plate bolted to the bottom of the case, also.
Can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be a crossmember for the transfer case to be attached to?
I know that the truck had the frame replaced due to a recall on the frame as there were issues with the frames rusting in two. I am wondering if the crossmember was not put back on by whomever did the new frame?!
It REALLY does look to me like there should be a crossmember for the transfer case but I can find no pictures of the underside of the 2001 - 2004 Tacoma 4x4 to reference.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
