    Fellow Toyoters,

I'm new to the forum but not new to Toyotas. I just sold my 1990 4Runner 22RE and bought a 2011 Tacoma DCLB TRD Sport. I definitely miss my old friend but looking forward to building the Taco and will have a lot of questions for all of you (in future threads). I just wanted to introduce myself to the TW family.

    Here they are:

Thanks DoorDing, I've been looking for a clean one for a while. It is quite the change. The Tacoma isn't my daily driver, I have another vehicle to commute.

Not your daily driver.... sounds promising for some nice mods. You won't be worried about gas mileage like most of us. That was a nice looking 4runner. I had a 2001 for a few years and I still miss it.

Congrats on the '11 and welcome. I'm on my second Tacoma but I still miss my '97 4Runner like crazy.

Thanks guys, I will definitely miss my 4Runner.
"neverstuck", the mods have started already with HID lights and I have my projectors on the way. Will post the A-Z installation once I do it. Also looking for a good deal on a 6" BDS lift kit with wheels and tires (Lots of $$ in Canada, thinking of shopping in the US if it's any cheaper). The downside of the 6" kit is I'd have to go with 18's minimum to avoid hitting the steering knuckle, which I'm not too happy about, will see. Money pit time...

nice 4R. personally I would have kept the 22R, those things are practically bullet proof and are known for their durability, decent fuel efficiency and good low to mid range torque but its weakness is high-end power.

but a good choice either way. I have a 2014 4Runner LE and the warden has a 2012 OR TX v6 so I have the best of both.

I've always wanted one of those old 4 runners. Your old one looks awesome, but congrats on the new truck.

For sure, the 22RE was solid and I had taken great care of it; and it return it took great care of me :) It had a LONG list of mods too.

I just needed something that was able to tow my trailer comfortably and had more cargo room. It went to a good home though and for that I'm really happy.

Sounds like you're enjoying both ends of the spectrum with your 4Runner and the Taco. Congrats!!

Thank you, I loved the 4Runner. Here's a couple more shots of it.

Last year I got rid of my baby (97' SR5 4Runner - locked, loaded, and ready for bear...all work done by my neighbor and me and a lot of beer in his garage), and got a '13 DCSB TRD Off Road Taco. Love my Taco, but seriously miss my runner.

Both are in this pic...bought the truck and sold the 4Runner 3 days later. :(

Nice 4runner, those trucks were bullet proof. I'm in the same boat, love the Taco but definitely miss the runner. Looking forward to get my Tacoma trail ready and able to get me to my hunting spots :)
