Interior LED lighting

Has anyone ever wired interior LED lights up to their dimmer switch? I've got some of the cheap little LED bars from walmart for my floorboards. Just curious if there's a write up or something on here anywhere on how to wire those into the dimmer switch.

 

Check out the 4x4 switch DIY there is a positive and negative behind the ac cluster that you can tie into

 

Is that possible even though I've got a prerunner?

 

I'm talking about where to die in power for your lights. The DIY shows the 2 wires to use for illumination. A Prerunner definetely doesn't have a 4x4 switch but will give you the 2 wires to use for your floor board lights and will dim.
