Tacoma 2013 manual transmission HELP

Ok today when I started my truck got to work it was OK when I got to work I usually stay in my truck about 10 minutes OK so my question is you know how you put your keys there is three turns you can do first is to listen to the radio and second turn to use the power windows and check fuel and third push in the clutch and turn on the truck well when I wanted to turn down my window I turn the key twice when I did that all the little icons popped then came off except the check engine light and the oil light does this mean something is wrong they don't pop up when I'm driving or nothing just when I have the key turned twice

 

WOW , that was one long sentence

When I turn my key to the second notch , all the lights come on the dash .
If it only happened once , it may be nothing to worry about .
If it happens again , you may have an ignition switch issue but from what you are describing , it almost sounds normal to me .
Not a transmission problem thankfully .

 

sorry lol I just got this truck last weekend I just made a week with it. but yes when I turn my key to the second notch all the lights come on, but after a couple seconds all of them go off except the check engine light and the oil light. it's probably not a transmission problem because they don't pop up when driving. I might take it to the dealership just in case thank you

 

Even with the key off the windows should still go down until you open the door.

 

It is normal for the check engine light and oil pressure light to stay on until you actually start the engine. Because the engine is not running the CEL will remain on, and with no oil pressure (since the engine is not running) the oil pressure light will stay on. All is normal. What is happening when you turn the key to the second notch is that the computers all go into a self diagnostic check. The lights all come on for a few seconds to verify they work, then they go off (the airbag light may flash 5 or 6 times, then go off) The only two that do stay on are the CEL light and oil pressure light. (And the brake light if your parking brake is still set)
