CAI

i wanna get a CAI for my 10 taco s/c
is it worth it? what is a good one to get? i was thinking k&n but there are a few for the taco not sure what one to get

 

I have heard go with AFE.. its the 1 i'm lookin at..

 

Afe 1st gen trd or volant. Urd is great if it's never going to see off road.

 

i wanna do a little bit of off roading but i wanna something decent
afe intake is like 400 bucks tho

i have used k&n before im just used to using that company but open to ideas
also from what i read online that cai is kinda a waste this true?

I have k&n drop in filter...the reason I like afe is because they have a pro dry filter...uses no oil...easier maintenance... in the end its what you are use to..but I'm ready for a change...feel like the K&n was meant for the desert running vehicles ...and their engines are always being rebuilt so often...not because of air filter but just for performance...feel as its over kill and possibly more room for error.

 

Some vehicles it is a waste. Some vehicles it isn't. On these engines, and with the Airaid, AFe Stage 2, URD, or TRD gen 1, they improve power output.

I just bought a URD for my '14 dcsp, waiting for it to be delivered. I'll let you know how installation and performance is.
