Question about getting my first truck/Tacoma...

Hi everyone,

As you can see I just became a member here and I'm already asking questions that might sound silly. I'm sure they've been asked before but I really need some buying advice.

Little bit of background: I'm driving a 2004 Civic that my parents gave me when they got a new car, so I'm buying my first car and I've been looking for awhile and decided a Tacoma is what I want. Even though I will mainly use it to commute from/to work, I do go hiking or the beach once in awhile since I live in Oregon.

Questions I have are:
- Is it worth to pay couple thousands extra to get the V6 upgrade? Coming from a 1.4L civic the 2.7L 4cyl seems more that enough, but of course they are two different cars/truck so I'm not sure.

- If I go for a V6, would you recommend the SR5 or the TRD package? While I like how the TRD looks (specially the hoop scoop), it is couple thousands more. Sorry if I'm sounding cheap as I just graduated last year and had my job for 6 months.

- Any other recommendation or advise with the truck or dealership would also be very helpful.
