2014 Tacoma TRD off road

Hey guys I think the red bed light is absolutely hideous and I was curious if anyone has a better method of smoking it darker than either using night shade (stuff comes out kinda crappy if you ask me) or plasti dip (which will just make the thing useless cause it'll be so dark)

Any suggestions on how to smoke it, or links to write ups that other people have done
