lol i gues it is, my mpg is not the best in my truck since i drive like i stole it, not even playing i mean something i'm clam but it's mine and i'm paying for it

lol i try to always guess my mpg when i fill it up all the way, i do have a heavy foot, and in the cold weather of course it's gonna run better there for less mpg,
and now that it's hot as shit, i'm suppose to have less mpg not by much,

anyway i filled my tank all the way up and got a whooping 320 before the orange light came on, i'm think i could make it a good 10 to 15 miles on that ( i'm not gonna try that) but reading on everyone getting alot less then that, makes me smile that somehow i got that much form my truck!

Ull get better mileage when its hot since the air is less dense thus not only creating less resistance to drive thru but also requiring less fuel for combustion. Wieght reduction is prolly ur best bet for mpg gains, also will help acceleration.

Last fill-up I had 325.5mi on the tank and the light had just come on a few miles beforehand. Even still it only took about 17.5 gallons. So it roughed out at 18.5mpg. Pretty happy with that. Now I'm making that my standard, and I'm aiming for that at every fill up! I'm usually light-footed, though. I do all that I can to keep my MPGs up!

I was actually surprised my mileage was that well, my work commute is practically ALL city. I think it's because the speed limit is 40mph and I manage to get a lot of green lights. Doing 40mph lets me keep in top-gear and the RPMs down. I only get city driving if I drive to my dad's on the weekend (50 mi round trip). But seeing as my work commute is 5mi I can go about 2weeks between fill-ups.

Don't forget that winter fuel blends typically yield less MPG so you really should get better numbers in the summer. What is the difference between winter and summer blend gasoline?

I fill mine up until it clicks the first time. I regularly get 340 + out of mine before the light even thinks of coming on. I drive like a grandpaw though and very rarely get over 45 because of where I have to drive. On the freeway I very seldom get over 65.

There will be thousands of different opinions but I run Shell V Power 93 with no Ethanol exclusively and have never run anything else in the truck and I use the same pump every time. If I'm out of state I still run Shell V Power but I have no control over whether the station has put 10% Ethanol in it.

You lucky fukers, since its boating season, I been towing my watercrafts to the lake pretty much every other weekend, I have been getting 12-13 mpg. But hey, you cant complain when you wanna play in the summer! Started using 89 while towing and have started to see it sneak back up a lil bit.

I have a heavy foot in mixed city/hwy driving. 17-18mpg is typical for me. (See sig for fuelly)

EDIT: I also run 93 octane all the time.

I decided to see how good of MPG I could get if I really tried now that the truck is broken in with about 8200 miles. I do normally drive like a grandma, but this time I drove like great grandma. I usually average around 22 with mixed driving and a high of just over 24 HWY.
I picked a route where I would not have to be shifting gears. The only mistake I made was I chose one with too many hills. I had about 70 miles of hilly country included in my driving. The rest was flat. I guess I need to go west instead of north. After I drove the route and filled up I had gotten 25.993 MPG using 89 OCT. ethanol free Conoco gas. I am sure I could beat that a little if it was flat all the way.
