My Tacoma is 4X4(not locking).... I was wondering what the difference is between
the Tacoma and The Tundra 4X4's, not locking of course. Ive seen a lot of post
lashing out at the Tundra for not being a real 4X4. Technically my Tacoma is not either. What ya think?

No 4x4 is a real 4x4 unless locked.

What is the question? Both Tacoma and Tundra can be put in 4wd. Are you referring to full time 4wd?

Atrac doesn't pull all 4 wheels all the time.

I guess to be more specific, is Tacoma's 4X4 different than a Tundra's. Not talking locking
diff or Downhill or Uphill assist. Just a plain ol 4X4.

no.... both have part time 4 wheel drive.... where you can select 2 high, 4 high and 4 low... there are at the meta level exactly the same.
