I got the TRD Sport with heated seats but not leather. I have picked up a set of Wet Okole seat covers and absolutely love them. They are way more comfortable than stock fabric or leather (because they are 8mm thick neoprene), they are waterproof, easy clean, and you can get a heated seat add-on for around 60 bucks. They're definitely worth looking at rather than leather.

If you want the locker, it's awesome. I had one on my 4runner. I went for the Sport because I wanted the double cab and long box. The TRAC (traction control) systems on these trucks are so awesome that with the 4wd and limited slip traction system you will be fine unless you do some wilder stuff than just hunting and camping trips. Unless modified, you can only use the locker when you're in 4low too.... don't know if you knew that.

Ranch Topper, Bull Bar.....Yes, I know everyone thinks they are crap, I like the look
The TRD Off Road has a lot of stuff we might never use, or use seldom enough that we don't need it. In hind sight, the TRD Sport would have been better for us. The long bed would have been nice and I think it makes for a better looking truck.

Too bad Toyota doesn't just offer the locker as an option for the DCLB Sport , then they would have all their bases covered

So, I bought one. Sooner than I had planned, but the Outback was tragically totaled.

Didn't go new since I lost out on money by getting an insurance settlement rather than selling it outright.

2011 Pyrite Mica TRD Sport double cab long box. Looked for an off road and couldn't find one anywhere nearby that wasn't either brand new or quite old. I love this one so far...I sort of like having the long bed even though it's a little bus like. ...and the color is fantastic!

I'll snap some pictures later on.

^So you got the older style interior with the ergonomic steering wheel (where you can thumb the horn without taking your hands off the wheel). Congrats, wish the circumstances were different.

Plenty of people here on TW who had Subarus previously or concurrently, myself included. Good cars.

That would have probably made the DCLB Sport pkg more expensive, and it's a mechnically weaker diff.

Have you done the "Lo-Trac" gray wire mod? Not as effective as A-Trac but a step in the right direction.
