Tailgate Reinforcement

Is there still interest in tailgate reinforcements? It seems this is a larger problem with the '05-'07 Tacomas. Since the TSB, it seems interest in GatorSavers and the like, has fallen off. I have come up with a design of my own, with raised punched ridges, similar to the stock plastic. This post is a feeler for interest. I can have as many made as necessary. There will be a diamond plate option and a powder coat option.

If interest exists, I will post more details on the design and pricing.

There is this product, but it is rather expensive at $200, and doesn't retain the look of the original plastic cover.

 

Relentless fab makes them and they are like $150 raw. You can put the plastic back on to retain the stock look.

OP do you have an pics of your design and estimated prices?

 

Yeah Relentless makes them and so does some other guy on here who was doing group buys for them within the past month or so (though his looked more expensive than Relentless).

Unless you can beat them on shipping costs/overall price or have some sort of new special design.

 

A pic or CAD drawing would be nice.....
