    Hi guys,

I want to replace my whole exhaust system, everything except the manifold.

The exhaust is rusted with a few holes and I bent it while off roading.

My question is what do I need to replace the following parts(parts number etc)

-Magnaflow cat back exhaust system (Which one do I need)
-Catalitic converter (Is it better to go OEM?)
-Both O2 Sensor (I know I need OEM to avoid codes, what's the parts numbers?)
    -What else do I need?

    Truck is a 1st Gen, 4x4, extended Cab, 3.4L

    Thanks guys

I ordered Magnaflow stuff from the manifold down to the exhaust tip. Too late now but thanks anyway.

K&N, Magnaflow cats and exhaust. Electric fans.
About a year ago I did the same thing because the computer was throwing a P420 code. Purchased the highflow cats and an exhaust system including new sensors. They were Bosh sensors and not Denso. About 8K miles after installation on comes the P420 again. Tried a pair of Denso sensors with no change. Installed a set of Bonsal cats from rock auto, reused the same Denso sensors and the light has been out for two weeks.

I can tell the difference with the stock replacements back on instead of the highflow. The engine seems to rpm quicker and the exhaust was slightly louder.

Also had a K&N intake as well that kept throwing a lean mixture code as well. That came off and the code went away. I was not really impressed with the shield for the K&N it allowed hot underhood air in because the engine would knock under anything but light acceleration after sitting in traffic. Original airbox cured that problem. I will get a K&N OEM style filter.

Come to the conclusion that the 3.4 is much more sensitive to aftermarket mods than my 22RE was.

The nuts holding the cat to the manifold will be rusted and might require a torch to get off. One of mine did and we torched it enough to split it thus saving the threads. Get a die at 10 x 1.25, three stainless washers, lock washers and nuts from ACE hardware. The nuts are bigger than OEM and have better clamping power.
