TRD Supercharger install on 3.4 1st Gen

I am starting this thread to gather interest on continuing it for a basic "how-to" on installing a TRD supercharger in a 1st gen Tacoma with a 3.4 V6 engine. This 2001 Tacoma was brought to my shop to have a used kit installed in the truck. This kit does not have the 7th injector setup at this time. We will be installing it for the customer next week and I plan to take as many photos as I can, without slowing down production time. I actually have photos for several different write ups like ARB lockers front and rear, and onboard air systems, as well as transmission/clutch work, and several diagnostic workshops for common codes like P0420, P0300, and others. I just haven't taken the time to write them all up yet.

 

i just bought a supercharger, so keep the photos coming! i appreciate any and all tips for installing!

More photos and write up coming up as the job progresses. I have a lot of photos already taken but had some issues with the camera shutting down all the time. I will bring more info this weekend.

Really sorry. Running a shop, and life in general has taken me off task on several things. This included. I will try my best to finish it up soon.

 

Just found this thread from Google...had high hopes for the install photos!

 

Why not just follow the TRD install instructions? They are more than thorough enough to do the job. I wouldn't go out of your way to reinvent the wheel Bill. Just keep on keeping on.
