Cheapest place to buy Platinum Warranty in VA

Im assuming that the Toyota Platinum warranty is still the best warranty out there. Since they have made it hard on those guys selling in one state to sell to us in other states, I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with a dealer or someone in VA that can get us this warranty cheaper like Troy and Handy Auto could.

My dealer wants $1700-$1950 for a 7 or 8 yr 125000 mile warranty. I could use the years but dont need that kind of mileage.

I don't believe theres' any magic bullet on this. I'm going to email a few dealers in the area (No. Va.) and see how they stack up on the prices offered by Jerry and Troy. I'd also like to know the incentives to sell 100 above cost for example; as there is a problem in the finance office if they can smooth-talk a happy buyer into 5-10 times that profit. Sure it is one reason Mr. T clamped down on the internet process. We'll see what dealers respond.!!!
Still kicking myself for not getting with Jerry before the moratorium went on. I've got 6 months to solve this problem.
PS just lost an o2 sensor on my 07 highlander and it is covered by my 8/75k i got from Jerry. Nearly 500 i DONT have to pay, plus I get a loaner.

 

Troy will sell you one if you have a MA address you can use for the paperwork.

 

I don't guess what you find out will help someone in Maryland will it?

it doesn't look like he is selling Toyota extended plans anymore, but some third party plan which generally is not as good.

I had heard that they lowered the boom on U.S. dealers selling extended warranties to Canadians, but wasn't aware they wouldn't allow extended plans sold between various U.S. states?

 

Yeah it's my understanding(maybe Im wrong) that Toyota made it so they cant sell over state lines. I guess a lot of dealers were losing out.

I talked him a month ago that's what he told me, unfortunately I don't know anyone with a MA address is I wasn't able to purchase it
