tube bumper tacoma 2010 Rock Assualt Rear Tacoma Bumper

Came here again and again to research a replacement for my bumper. Thought I would circle back with my results for the research of others. Finally purchased newest model tube bumper from trail Gear - came tow rated for a little bit more money. It arrived with odd points/spikes that I thought were a little too Mad Maxx/thunder dome for me. a friend easily sawed them off- they were solid?!. Prepped with acetone, black rattle can primer and then topped with rattle can black 'hammered' look. Strange that the black somehow came out looking exactly like my stock paint color - grey. How? Just luck?
